All WHS teachers expect students to conform to the WHS Attendance Policy, Standards of Student Behavior, Standards of Conduct, Dress Code and Academic Integrity Policy. These policies can be found on the WHS website in the Parent-Student Handbook.
Biology by Miller & Levine (2002). Chapters to be covered include but are not limited to 1 through 18, and 35 through 40. The text book is available on-line and directions on how to register will be provided to you via hard copy and/or on my website. The textbooks will be kept in the classroom. If you need a hard copy, one can be signed out to you. The cost to replace lost textbooks is $75.00.
- three-ring binder (at least 1.5 inches thick) with white lined paper
- writing utensils: #2 pencils, black or blue pens
- colored pencils/markers/crayons
- basic functioning calculator
- access to a computer
Daily: You will arrive in class prepared. The previous day’s assignment will be collected at the beginning of class (for full credit). Class-work and homework assignments that are not “graded” will be collected and “checked off” for completion. These assignments count as 20% of your term grade! This “participation grade” is added at the midterm and end of each term. Late assignments will be accepted for partial credit.
