Jill Keenan graduated from the University of Massachusetts Amherst in 1991 with a BA in English and Secondary Education English certification. She received her Masters in Education in 1999 from Westfield State College.
She began her teaching career at Westover Job Corps Center in Chicopee, MA in 1992 where she taught reading to students ranging in age from 16-24 with a reading level of 3-8th grade.
Westfield Vocational-Technical High School was her next step. Teaching there from 1994-1996, she learned the many lessons associated with the first years of teaching. Specializing in sophomores, she honed her craft of teaching writing and literature.
A transfer to Westfield High School in 1997 allowed Mrs. Keenan to complete an internship, finalizing her Masters in Educational Administration. Mrs. Keenan has taught all levels and all grades. Currently, she is teaching ELA-2: Pre-AP and ELA-3: AP Language & Composition.
Mrs. Keenan lives locally with her husband, Dan; their two sons, Jack & Matty; and dogs, Augie & Otis.
